Annuities

You can use the fund from your existing personal pension to buy an annuity with a provider of your choice through the Open Market Option. It may be possible to get a better pension income with another provider. You should speak to a financial adviser about your options.

Legal & General Pension Annuity 

As AXA Wealth is not a specialist in providing annuities we can introduce our pension plan customers to Legal & General, a market leader in annuities. If you or your authorised representative agree, we will share your name, gender, date of birth and postcode (and the same for your dependant if applicable) with Legal & General for the purposes of producing an annuity quote only. We will then check whether this will provide you with a higher annuity rate than we can and, if so, provide the quote and supporting literature. Any annuities purchased through Legal and General will be done so as an Open Market Option transfer. However, there are other providers available through the Open Market who may be able to provide you with a higher income in retirement.
