AXA is a worldwide leader in financial protection. With a strong and long-standing history, we can trace our roots back to the 18th century. That history included a succession of mergers‚ acquisitions and name changes involving some of the leading insurance companies in the UK and around the world – and it was in 1985 that the name AXA was first introduced.

We have three main lines of business in the UK: wealth management, insurance and healthcare.

Wealth Management

AXA Wealth employs over 2,300 people across multiple sites in the UK. Our wealth management operations include the AXA Elevate wrap platform, Architas, AXA Wealth International and Sun Life Direct. These core areas are complemented by additional specialist investment and pensions propositions to meet the needs of our customers. We mainly distribute our products through Independent Financial Advisers and our key bancassurance partners. The exception is Sun Life Direct which provides life assurance products directly to consumers.

Insurance

AXA Personal Lines offers a range of products including car, home, travel and pet insurance. We sell direct to customers and via brokers and we underwrite a range of products for some of the UK’s leading brands.

AXA Direct Insurance offers car, home, travel and pet insurance through its website www.axainsurance.com and is designed to make buying and managing insurance fast, convenient, secure and easy.

AXA Personal Lines includes swiftcover.com which was launched in June 2005. swiftcover.com was the first 100% online insurance provider and is considered to be one of the fastest-growing online insurance providers in the UK. swiftcover.com has won many awards since its launch, including the lovemoney.com best value for money car insurer.

While we look to achieve further accolades, there is no guarantee to win similar awards in the future.

AXA Commercial Lines underwrite a broad range of commercial and small business insurance across property, liability and motor classes. AXA Commercial sells its products through brokers as well as direct to the customer.

Commercial Lines and AXA Wealth work closely with our independent distribution operation; Bluefin. Bluefin offers expertise in insurance broking, financial advice, wealth management and corporate consultancy to private clients, SMEs and large corporates.

Healthcare

AXA PPP healthcare forms the UK healthcare arm of AXA and provides healthcare cover for individuals and employers in the UK and abroad, as well as health information services for customers and healthcare commissioning services for primary healthcare trusts.
